### The purpose, functions and key features of the "Alerts" widget

The Alerts widget on TRDR is a powerful tool designed for traders looking to automate the tracking of specific market conditions. By setting up alerts, users can monitor data 24/7 without having to be near the computer all the time.

Alerts can be set based on a variety of **criteria** that make up your trading strategy. You can enhance the **risk-reward ratio** of potential trades by acting only when **specific alert conditions** have been met.

Real-time notifications can be received directly to your **Telegram**, e-mail, webhook or as a pop-up, an audio message or as a sound in your browser.

### What data can be monitored

You can monitor a **wide range of data** such as **price movements, liquidations, open interest, order book depth, top levels, volumes, deltas, funding rates, etc.**, allowing them to respond to market changes instantly or on a bar close.

The data can be customized to different markets, both separate (e.g. BTC/USDT spot on Binance) and grouped (e.g. all BTC/USD spot markets across different exchanges) and configured to different timeframes and price conditions.

Alerts widget supports **complex conditions** (e.g. Less Than, Greater Than, Crossing Up, Crossing Down, etc.) and logical operators (AND, OR).

It is suitable for a wide range of trading strategies, from simple notifications of price thresholds to more advanced setups involving multiple metrics without the risk of missing potentially significant market information.

### Typical scenarios for using Alerts

* **Price Monitoring**\
  Set alerts to trigger when an asset’s price moves above or below a certain level or RSI strength making it ideal for breakouts or retracements.
* **Market Sentiment Analysis**\
  Track shifts in long and short positions, open interest, order book depth ratio or delta and liquidation events to gauge market sentiment and potential reversals.
* **Order Book Imbalances**\
  Automate the tracking of order book Ask / Bid imbalances to ensure you enter the market at the better price.
* **Grouped data**\
  Observe multiple markets at once without the risk of missing potentially significant market information.
* **Funding Rates**\
  Monitor changes in funding rates on perpetual contracts to spot potential opportunities.
* **Top Levels Monitoring**\
  Track the price approach to the biggest Bid or Ask level, where the price reversals can occur and ensure the smallest Stop Loss.

### Examples:

* "Alert me by sound when BTC price > $40,000 AND Open Interest increases by 5%"
* "Send an alert in Telegram if ETH/USDT falls below $2,000 OR Funding Rate becomes negative"
* “Alert me by email when the Long/Short Ratio is lower than 1 AND Order Book Depth Ratio 1%-2.5% is bigger that 30%”
* “Alert me by sound when the Order Book Depth Ratio in 1% - 2.5% range of the BTCUSDT Perpetual pair is Greater than 40% AND Order Book Depth Ratio in 1% - 2.5% range of the BTCUSDT Spot pair is Greater than 70%”
